TRIP REPORT | Germanwings (BASIC) | Berlin Tegel to London Heathrow | Airbus A319 Trip Report of my Germanwings/Eurowings Airbus A319 flight from Berlin Tegel to London Heathrow Airport in BASIC Economy Class. This one hour and 20 minutes long morning flight to London was surprisingly very empty. During the flight I compared the leg room of the basic seats with the one declared as more legroom seats - and found a clear winner :D Also I bought a bagel and drink onboard as there is nothing included in the BASIC fare (unlike the SMART fare which includes a snack and drink). For this flight I chose Germanwings over British Airways as I had a connecting flight in London also departing from Terminal 2 (where Germanwings operates from). Seat for my wing view is 17F.
