TRIP REPORT | Garuda Indonesia (BUSINESS) | Jakarta - Bali/Denpasar | Airbus A330-300 TRIP REPORT: Flying 5* Garuda Indonesia Airlines from Jakarta Airport (CGK) to Bali/Denpasar Airport (DPS), Indonesia in Business Class aboard an Airbus A330-300. After visiting the Lounge in Jakarta Airport boarding started on-time for our flight to Bali. I got a Business Class ticket since my Upgrade offer was accepted by the airline (you could bid for an Upgrade from Economy Class). Onboard the seats were in a 2-2-2 configuration in Business class and offered some useful things. Sadly the seat did not convert into a fully flat bed but that was no problem for me as the flight time to Bali is only around 2 hours. There was a meal service during the flight and i liked it. After arrival in Bali there was a waiting lounge and a red carpet where I was able to collect my luggage from - not as usual from the baggage carousel. TRIP REPORT | COBALT AERO (Economy) | Larnaca to Athens (before Grounding) | Airbus A320 Flying Cobalt Aero before their Grounding on 18th October 2018. TRIP REPORT - Cobalt Aero Economy Class flight from Larnaca, Cyprus (LCA) to Athens Airport, Greece (ATH) back in February 2018 on my way home to Berlin. Sad to see yet another Airline cease operations this year! About the flight: Airline: Cobalt Aero (Air) Aircraft: A320 Route: Larnaca to Athens Class: Economy Flight time: 1 hour 30 minutes I took the first flight in the morning from Larnaca to Athens to later catch my connection to Berlin on Aegean Airlines. Our Cobalt Aero flight boarded and departed on time. Onboard they had a Economy Class section with 144 seats and a separated Business Class cabin with 12 seats in a 2-2 configuration. Real business class seats on an A320 are a pretty rare sight here in Europe! During the flight you were able to purchase drinks and snacks which I did. I bought a small pizza (130gr) and a bottle of water (0,5L) for 7,00€. Rather normal prices when you compare this with other airlines in Europe - but there is a massive regional difference between airlines in the South! Let me explain: Take Aegean Airlines, Tus Airways, Air Malta and probably more - they all have one thing in commun - free service - some even offer full hot meals on 1 hour long flights! I personally like good service and therefore would choose an airline with "free" service if the price difference is not so big. While taxiing to the gate the pilots were probably focused on something else then the follow me car showing the way to their gate. At on point the 757 took a right turn where it should have continued straight. Both ways work but there was some departing traffic (pushbacks) in the way blocking them for several minutes. TRIP REPORT | CZECH AIRLINES | A330-300 | SPECIAL FLIGHT | Prague - Bratislava - Prague | Economy TRIP REPORT: Czech Airlines Airbus A330-300 Special Avgeek Flight from Prague to Prague via Bratislava :D While searching for new airlines to review I found CSA Czech Airlines quite tempting - especially their Airbus A330-300 (OK-YBA) of which they only have one in their fleet. By surprise I found this special flight to Bratislava - only one week before the actual flight - Lucky me! In the morning of the 6th October 2018 I flew over from Berlin TXL to Prague where the Czech Airlines Special Flight OK2018 was scheduled to depart from. I was one of the first persons onboard so I was able to get some shots of their cabin products in both Economy (252 seats) and Business Class (24 seats). My seat for both "legs" (flights) was 41A. Luckily I got the window seat as it was already difficult to get the minute online check-in was first available for this flight. The flight from Prague to Bratislava is pretty short and took about 40 minutes. Onboard they served some champaign and water. After arrival in Bratislava we parked on a remote stand. A snack box including a sandwich and drinks were served on the ground but still inside the aircraft as part of the special flight event. After that we were finally released to do a walk around of the aircraft on the apron where I was able to get some nice shots for you. After about 15 minutes everyone headed back to their seats and we flew back to Prague (again 40 minutes). I waited until most people deboarded to get some more empty shots of the cabin with great leg room - especially for Economy Class "standards". While leaving every passenger got a certificate for being on that flight. Overall it was a fantastic way for me and others to experience the product which Czech Airlines has to offer. I would love to see more airlines doing similar events to promote their products - especially the walk around part impressed me the most. TRIP REPORT | Saudia Airlines (NEW BUSINESS CLASS) | Jeddah - Jakarta | Boeing 777-300ER | Asia #3 TRIP REPORT of my Saudia Airlines Business Class flight from Jeddah to Jakarta, Indonesia aboard their Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. This 10 hour flight was my first long-haul business class experience. After visiting the lounge in Jeddah I found a huge mess during the boarding process. There was no priority or a seperate bus for business class (even though they had some ready while arriving into Jeddah). A bus took us to the beautifully painted Saudia Boeing 777-300ER on the apron (there are no real gates at Jeddah at the moment..). To my surprise the cabin was pretty new and featured full flat bed seats - not like on the older 777's of Saudia. A huge plus for comfort if you are as lucky as me to get to fly on that aircraft ;) Before departure the amenity kit was handed out and food orders were taken. Sadly the meals were not really great on this flight... Keep in mind that Saudia is a DRY airline (no alcohol). After a few hours of sleep and some movies, breakfast was served. The meal was not great again... Upon arrival in Jakarta I went to my hotel for a few hours before my next flight on KLM to Kuala Lumpur.
