TRIP REPORT | NEW Eurowings A340-300 (ECONOMY) | Düsseldorf to Vienna | opby Brussels Airlines Trip Report of my Eurowings flight aboard their new Airbus A340-300 aircraft taking me from Düsseldorf to Vienna in Economy Class. The aircraft is new to the fleet of Eurowings and Brussels Airlines (operating these flights for Eurowings). For this reason they have scheduled crew training flights between Düsseldorf and Vienna/Palma de Mallorca before launching new routes to New York JFK, Cancun and Punta Cana. The aircraft operating the flight had the registration OO-SCW and is an 17.8 years old A340-300 aircraft which used to operate for Lufthansa. And you can clearly see that in the cabin - all the seats are the same like you would find them on a Lufthansa flight. Seat for this Wing View is 10A (Bulkhead Seat in Economy Class). The leg room was good. Also I like the A340 configuration of 2-4-2 seats in Economy Class. Disappointing was the Inflight Service - not how it was done - but the amount of "food" for the price (included in the Economy SMART fare which i had booked). All in all it was ok for 1 hour and 10 minutes long flight.
